Hoje conversamos com Nini Gertz.
A Arte Intuitiva de Nini Gertz cria uma ponte entre a realidade e a imaginação. Vida e Natureza estão presentes em cada obra. Fruto de sua visão holística de um mundo em que pessoas, animais e flores são partes de um todo mágico e harmonioso.
Nesta entrevista, Nini Gertz nos conta sobre as reações positivas a seus primeiros trabalhos. Ela apresenta uma visão positiva das inúmeras possibilidades criadas pela tecnologia e comemora os avanços de noss sociedade em direção a um mundo mais livre e menos desigual.
Na Arte, o que te move e comove?
A Arte para mim é como mágica, essa capacidade de comunicação que acontece através das emoções, tanto do artista quanto do observador. É isso que me comove, que me instiga. A intenção do artista pode ser completamente outra do sentimento que desperta no observador, e isso é o mais incrível na arte, principalmente na arte abstrata: estimular a imaginação sem limites, sentimentos, sensações até então desconhecidas e as emoções mais remotas.
O que a levou à Arte?
A arte sempre esteve presente desde a minha infância. Há muito tempo, meu pai pintava com frequência telas de paisagens e acredito que o cheiro da tinta e a visão dos pincéis tenha ficado no meu inconsciente. Eu sabia desde sempre que não saberia pintar como ele, obras realistas, que necessitam de dom e muita paciência para serem realizadas. Então até pouco tempo atrás, uns 6 meses, eu nunca tinha tido coragem de pintar. Mas sempre gostei muito de fotografia e desde a minha adolescência com uma câmera super simples, amadora, fotografava tudo que via,
principalmente o céu, o pôr do sol e as flores, minhas maiores paixões. Eu tentava fazer arte fotografando. Foi no fim de 2019 que tive a ideia de pintar meu quarto, colorir, mudar, e a partir do momento que comecei a mexer com as tintas, descobri um novo universo de possibilidades e me encantei. Fui percebendo as misturas dascores e queria registrar a mágica que acontecia. A curiosidade e o entusiasmo foram aumentando e decidi sair da parede para algo mais prático, mais físico, digamos assim. Foi como tudo começou.
Como foram seus primeiros passos na Arte?
Tudo aconteceu muito espontaneamente, e foi disso que eu mais gostei. Uma coisa levou a outra, sem forçar, sem segundas intenções, como uma curtição mesmo. O universo das tintas, o movimento, a liberdade, me fisgaram de uma maneira muito intensa e meus dias faziam mais sentido graças a isso. Primeiramente comecei a postar as fotos no Instagram, no meu perfil pessoal. Logo depois criei uma conta só para esse fim, e fui postando as obras. Confesso que fiquei muito surpresa com as reações positivas das pessoas e quando me dei conta já estava super engajada neste novo espaço. Foi assim que a Marisa e a Up Time me encontraram, e está sendo tudo muito lindo, muito construtivo e produtivo!
Quais Artistas servem de referência para o seu trabalho?
Posso trocar a palavra referência por admiração? Pois quando estou no processo de criação a minha mente simplesmente cessa, como se desse um branco, ou melhor, como se fosse um "blecaute" total, então não consigo pensar em nada e nem em ninguém quando derramo as tintas sobre a superfície. Mas os artistas que eu admiro muito são: Kazuo Shiraga, Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning e não poderia faltar Jackson Pollock. Os traços desses artistas são muito particulares e únicos.
A originalidade deles é muito peculiar, então procuro por isso no momento de criação. Gostaria que as pessoas sentissem isso quando vissem o meu trabalho.
Fale sobre seu processo criativo. Como chega a inspiração para você?
É uma mistura de sentimentos que me instigam a me encorajam a derramar as tintas e me entregar... num dia qualquer, numa hora qualquer. A inspiração pode ser uma música, uma boa notícia, um lindo dia de sol, uma noite de lua cheia, uma estrela cadente (já aconteceu, foi incrível). Então acontece o "plim" e eu sinto: é hoje, é agora! E consigo fazer umas dez obras se tiver material. Houve uma noite em que fiz 12 obras, uma atrás da outra sem parar. É assim, não tem hora nem lugar.
Quando começa uma obra, você já tem a imagem final em mente?
Não. Quando começo eu não sei nem por onde. Às vezes me pergunto: estou fazendo a coisa certa? Mas deixo fluir e só me dou conta do que fiz quando paro para respirar e observar o que aconteceu. Das mínimas vezes que tentei imaginar o final feliz sempre me surpreendi com um resultado totalmente oposto, então decidi não criar expectativas... risos.
Você acha que toda Arte deve ser engajada socialmente?
Com certeza! A liberdade de expressão felizmente está cada vez mais valorizada, principalmente através das redes sociais e da mídia digital. Isso é incrível. A passos lentos mas culturalmente significativos, a cada dia que passa, mais as pessoas podem ser elas mesmas, com suas particularidades, podem expressar suas ideias, desejos e visões de mundo. Isso tudo é muito positivo para o indivíduo e para a sociedade em geral, pois todos crescem, todos expandem seus pensamentos e conhecimentos com essas oportunidades, todos saem ganhando.
Como você desenvolveu seu estilo?
Quando saí da parede e fui para o papel e tela, percebi que não tinha muita paciência com o pincel e a forma como o desenho se desenvolvia não me agradava muito. Então comecei a usar as mãos e me encontrei assim. No sentir das texturas das tintas nos dedos, o colorido que se forma nas mãos (que eu não quero lavar nunca), o movimento que se cria... São elementos que me fazem sentir mais conectada, mais próxima de todo processo. Foi só mais tarde que comecei a pesquisar sobre a história da Arte e dos artistas e suas técnicas. Tudo para me familiarizar e entender melhor o funcionamento deste novo mundo que eu estava (e ainda estou) adentrando.
Como você vê o momento cultural nos dias de hoje? A arte, em termos gerais, cumpre o papel de refletir a sociedade?
Acredito que a Arte está cada vez mais presente na vida das pessoas, direta o indiretamente. A internet possibilita o acesso a uma infinidade de recursos e informações e a era digital representa um avanço cultural global. O acesso ao digital nos proporciona possibilidades infinitas que ainda nem somos capazes de discernir completamente. Estamos diante de um momento único na evolução humana. A era do autoconhecimento, da autoaceitação. Assistimos, simultaneamente, ao empoderamento feminino, à igualdade de gênero e racial, à redução do machismo, do preconceito, de tudo que nos separa, dos tabus... É uma
era de liberdade, e a Arte nada mais é do que Liberdade, Amor e Voz. Sim!
Acredito que a Arte está cumprindo seu papel em refletir nossa sociedade. Ela é uma forma de luta, de resistência, uma válvula de escape, superando todos os obstáculos e destruindo todo e qualquer preconceito.
Qual o quadro que você gostaria de ter pintado?
Todos do Shiraga! Acho todos sensacionais. Quando eu tiver a oportunidade de pintar com os pés numa tela gigantesca com uma quantidade significativa de tintas, sei que será uma das minhas melhores experiências com a Arte.
Qual sua mensagem para quem está começando?
A Arte reflete o que somos. Na arte nos descobrimos, nos conhecemos e nos aceitamos por completo. Podemos submergir ou emergir, a escolha é sempre nossa e é preciso coragem para dar esse passo em busca e ao encontro de si mesmo. Não ter medo do próprio reflexo, de quem se é verdadeiramente, de ser em absoluto. Acredito que a Arte é a nossa missão neste plano. Toda forma de expressão é um dom, é Divino. Today we talk to Nini Gertz.
Nini Intuitive Art creates a bridge between reality and imagination. Life and Nature are present in each work. That comes form her holistic vision of a world in which people, animals and flowers are part of a magical and harmonious whole. In this interview, she tells us about the positive reactions to her first artworks. Nini Gertz presents a positive view of the countless possibilities created by technology and celebrates the advances of our society towards a free and less unequal world.
In Art, what moves and moves you?
For me, art is like magic, this capacity for communication that happens through emotions, both for the artist and the observer. This is what moves me, what instigates me. The artist intention can be completely different from the feeling that awakens in the observer, and this is the most incredible thing in art, especially in abstract art: to stimulate the limitless imagination, feelings, sensations hitherto unknown and the most remote emotions.
What led you to Art?
Art has always been present since my childhood. A long time ago, my father often painted landscape canvases and I believe that the smell of the paint and the vision of the brushes were inside my mind. I always knew that I wouldn be able to paint like him, realistic works, which need a gift and a lot of patience to be done. So until recently, about 6 months ago, I had never had the courage to paint. But I have always loved photography and since my adolescence with a super simple, amateur camera, I photographed everything I saw, especially the sky, the sunset and the lowers, my greatest passions. I tried to make art by photographing. It was at the end of 2019 that I had the idea of painting my room, coloring, changing it. From the moment I started to work with the paints, I discovered a new universe of possibilities and I was enchanted. I started to notice the mixtures of colors andwanted to register the magic that happened. Curiosity and enthusiasm grew and I
decided to leave the wall for something more practical, more physical, so to speak. It was how it all started.
How were your first steps in Art?
It all happened very spontaneously, and that what I liked the most. One thing led to another, without forcing it, without ulterior motives, as a real pleasure. The universe of paints, movement, freedom, hooked me in a very intense way and my days made more sense thanks to that.
First I started posting the photos on Instagram, on my personal profile. Soon after I created an account just for that purpose, and I started posting the works. I confess that I was very surprised by the positive reactions of people and when I realized I was already very engaged in this new space. That how Marisa and Up Time found me, and everything is being very beautiful, very constructive and productive!
Which Artists serve as a reference for your work?
Can I change the word reference for admiration? Because when in the process of creating, my mind simply stops, as if it were a blank, or rather, as if it were a total blackout, then I can think of anything or anyone when I spill the paints on the surface. But the artists I admire a lot are: Kazuo Shiraga, Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning. Jackson Pollock must be included. The works of these artists are very particular and unique.
Their originality is very peculiar, so I look for it at the moment of creation. I would like people to feel that when they see my work.
Talk about your creative process. How does inspiration come to you?
It is a mixture of feelings that instigate and encourage me to spill the paints and deliver myself ... on any day, at any time. The inspiration can be a song, good news, a beautiful sunny day, a night with a full moon, a shooting star (it happened, it was incredible). Then the magic happens and I feel: it is today, it is now! And Ican do about ten works if I have material. There was a night when I did 12 works, one after the other without stopping. So, there is no time or place.
When you start a work, do you already have the final image in mind?
No. In the beginning, I dont even know where to start. Sometimes I wonder: am I doing the right thing?
But I let it flow and I only realize what I did when I stop to breathe and watch what happened. The few times I tried to imagine the happy ending I was always surprised by a totally opposite result, so I decided not to create expectations ... (laughter).
Do you think all Art should be socially engaged?
For sure! Fortunately, freedom of expression is increasingly valued, especially through social networks and digital media. This is amazing. With slow but culturally significant steps, with each passing day, more people can be themselves, with their particularities, can express their ideas, desires and worldviews. This is all very positive for the individual and for society in general, as everyone grows, everyone expands their thoughts and knowledge with these opportunities. Everyone wins.
How did you develop your style?
When I left the wall and started to work with paper and canvas, I realized that I did not have much patience with the brush and the way the drawing developed did not please me very much. So I started using my hands and then I found my way. In the feel of the textures of the paints on my fingers, the color that forms in the hands (which I never want to wash), the movement that is created ... These are elements that make me feel more connected, closer to the whole process. It was only later that I started researching the history of Art and artists and their techniques. Everything to familiarize myself and better understand the functioning
of this new world that I was (and still am) entering.
How do you see the cultural moment these days? Does Art, in general terms,
play the role of reflecting society?
I believe Art is increasingly present in people lives, directly or indirectly. Internet provides access to a multitude of resources and information and the digital age represents a global cultural advance. Access to digital provides us with infinite possibilities that we are not even able to fully discern. We are facing a unique moment in human evolution. The era of self-knowledge, self-acceptance. We are witnessing, simultaneously, female empowerment, gender and racial equality, the reduction of machism, prejudice, everything that separates us, taboos ... It is an era
of freedom, and Art is nothing more than Freedom, Love and Voice. Yes! I believe that Art is fulfilling its role in reflecting our society. It is a form of struggle, of resistance, an escape valve, overcoming all obstacles and destroying any and all prejudice.
What painting would you like to have painted?
All from Shiraga! I think all of them are sensational. When I have the opportunity to paint with my feet on a giant canvas with a significant amount of paints, I know it will be one of my best experiences with Art.
Whats your message for those just starting out?
Art reflects what we are. In art we discover ourselves, we know each other and accept ourselves completely. We can submerge or emerge, the choice is always ours and it takes courage to take that step in search and to find yourself. Do not be afraid of your own reflection, of who you truly are. I believe Art is our mission in this plan. Every form of expression is a gift, it is Divine. Face obstacles and follow your soul desire. Search for what you want in your heart. Let your being Be.
