Hoje conosco, Sandra Lages!
1. Conte como você começou no universo da arte?
Comecei recentemente, há dois anos, coincidindo com o início da pandemia, quando uma permanência em casa se fez necessária. Além das atividades antigas que continuei a exercer, como a psicanálise, com atendimentos virtuais, surgiu a pintura nos horários livres. Tive contato anteriormente com esse universo, quando criança, ao observar minha irmã fazendo uso de tinta à óleo em seus trabalhos de curso de pintura.
2. Como é o seu processo criativo?
Difícil explicar como se dá meu processo criativo, creio que está muito atrelado aos meus sentimentos, ao que se passa em meu cotidiano naquele momento. Mesmo que a representação da pintura que escolha pareça diversa do meu mundo interno, estará externalizando de alguma forma o que se passa em mim e traz uma harmonia que me preenche.
3. Quais são suas influências?
Sempre apreciei o Impressionismo, o Cubismo e o Surrealismo. Meu pai sempre foi um apreciador de arte e visitávamos galerias com certa frequência, quando gostava de comentar e trocar ideias sobre o assunto. Quando criança, pintei um quadro e ele me elogiou muito, achou original, momentos que marcam. Entretanto, gosto de me sentir livre para pintar segundo meu próprio desejo e estilo, sem me deter em regras que possam cercear-me.

4. Você acha que toda arte deve ser engajada?
Cada artista tem seu universo e vai direcionar-se de acordo com suas ideologias, invariavelmente; mas pintar, segundo minha opinião, afasta-nos do mundo externo, só existe você, pinceis, telas e tintas, traz liberdade. Estar radicalmente engajado pode tornar o processo criativo em um processo enfadonho, repetitivo e nada criativo.
5. Quais dificuldades você encontra como artista?
Como iniciei há pouco tempo, não senti muitas dificuldades. Claro que devem existir e o reconhecimento do seu trabalho pode ser um desses entraves. Quando passei a pintar, criei anonimamente meu Instagram @sandrinni_e_arte com o intuito de perceber qual impacto a forma como eu pintava atingiria as pessoas. Em pouco tempo, fui convidada por uma curadora italiana para expor virtualmente em Milão, fui recebendo comentários que incentivavam, além de outras exposições virtuais e presenciais que participei, o que abriu novas perspectivas em minha vida.
6. O contato com a arte mudou a sua forma de ver a vida?
Sempre fui muito intimista, admiro muito a subjetividade de cada um, observadora desde sempre, respeitando o universo do outro e o meu próprio. A Psicanálise já me levara por outra forma de viver. A pintura complementa esse percurso.

7. Qual mensagem está por trás de suas obras?
Meus sentimentos, seja qual for o tema.
8. O que chama a sua atenção no mundo?
O relacionamento humano, a diversidade que existe entre as pessoas; seu mundo pessoal inserido nesse contexto tão amplo e a delicadeza em respeitar o universo alheio por mais díspar que seja do seu.

Today with us, Sandra Lages!
1) How did you start in the art world? I started recently, two years ago, coinciding with the beginning of the pandemic, when a stay at home was necessary. In addition to the old activities that I continued to exercise, such as psychoanalysis, with virtual consultations, painting appeared in my free time. I had contact with this universe before, as a child, when I observed my sister using oil paint in her painting course work.
2) How is your creative process? It is difficult to explain how my creative process takes place, I believe it is very much linked to my feelings, to what is happening in my daily life at that moment. Even if the representation of the painting I choose seems different from my internal world, it will be externalizing in some way what is happening in me and bringing a harmony that fills me.
3) What are your influences? I have always appreciated Impressionism, Cubism and Surrealism. My father was always an art lover and we visited galleries quite often, when he liked to comment and exchange ideas on the subject. As a child, I painted a picture and he praised me a lot, he thought it was original, moments that mark. However, I like to feel free to paint according to my own desire and style, without being limited by rules that could restrict me.
4) Do you think all art should be engaged? Each artist has his own universe and will invariably direct himself according to his ideologies; but painting, in my opinion, takes us away from the external world, there is only you, brushes, canvases and paints, it brings freedom. Being radically engaged can make the creative process tedious, repetitive, and uncreative.
5) What difficulties do you face as an artist? As I started recently, I didn't experience many difficulties so far. Of course they must exist and the recognition of our work can be one of those obstacles. When I started painting, I anonymously created my Instagram @sandrinni_e_arte in order to understand what impact the way I painted would reach people. In a short time, I was invited by an Italian curator to exhibit virtually in Milan, I received encouraging comments, in addition to other virtual and physical exhibitions that I participated, which opened new perspectives in my life.
6) Has your contact with art changed your way of seeing life? I've always been very intimate, I really admire the subjectivity of each one, an observer since always, respecting the other's universe and my own. Psychoanalysis had already taken me through another way of living. The painting complements this path.
7) What message is behind your works? My feelings, whatever the theme.
8) What catches your eye in the world? The human relationship, the diversity that exists between people; our personal world inserted in such a broad context and the delicacy in respecting the other's universe, however different it may be from his own.
